About us
Parkside Pre-School was founded in 1988 and, whilst always located in Chingford, has had several changes of site. Our aim is to support you and your child by providing flexible, affordable childcare.

We are a non-profit-making charitable organisation with qualified professional staff run by a committee of parents/carers. The committee employ the staff, make decisions and are responsible to Ofsted. It means the Pre-School belongs to the people who use it! We are also members of the Early Years Alliance and are supported by, and receive funding from, the London Borough of Waltham Forest. We work closely with Parkside Primary School, particularly their Nursery, and are located in their building.
It is our intention to make our Pre-School fully inclusive by meeting the needs of children and families from all sections of the local community regardless of ethnicity, gender, special education needs, disabilities, background, religion or competence in spoken English. Our website is designed to provide you with the basic information you need, but you are very welcome to come and visit as staff would be proud to show you around.
