“We feel that X has blossomed into a very happy toddler since attending the preschool thanks to Sem. Sem has been very supportive, nurturing and patient with him always putting X’s wellbeing first.  It is so impressive the way Mandy, Debbie and the team support each and every parent and how they get to know the parents and the children so well in order to offer the best for them.  We drop him off every morning with a peace of mind knowing that he will be in the best caring expert hands and he comes home every day having learnt something new.

“All 3 of my children have attended Parkside Pre-School and I could not be happier with the care they have given my children. The staff are all so incredibly kind, fun, caring and patient.  My children all loved attending the Pre-School and had so much fun there. They are always doing fun activities and going above and beyond to make sure the children get to experience a variety of creative and exciting things. It is so important to feel that your children are happy, safe and well looked after and I have always felt this with Parkside Pre-School. “Our child’s speed and level of development, motor skills, language and vocabulary and confidence have exceeded our expectations since she began Parkside pre-school aged 2.5 and also when she then went onto nursery. We are very thankful to have an articulate, well mannered, independent little lady whose vivacious personality shines like a bright light and it’s mainly due to the quality of her early years education.” 

“There has been a great mix of daily opportunities for creative play, crafts and exploring, alongside structured activities with specific learning outcomes like counting and identifying shapes. My daughter has really benefited also from learning about broader topics too such as healthy eating and dental hygiene. The staff have worked hard to provide opportunities for families to be involved and share in their child’s life at preschool such as Mother’s Day morning, Christmas parties, Father’s Day and more. This has been lovely. Along with virtual updates through the Tapestry app – all have been really appreciated.”

Sending your young child out into the world is daunting for everyone and putting your trust in others to care for them is a scary prospect. The staff at Parkside Pre School put us at ease straight away though. They feel more like friends than teachers.”

“X feels loved by his teachers. For someone who has speech delay, his teachers are able to understand his needs and wants. And he’s happy going to school. X’s teachers have shown great concern about him making time to discuss his progress and what I should do to help him more at home.”

“We just want to say a big thank you for making X’s first nursery experience such a special one. She has loved going to nursery and always chats about the fun activities that she has joined in with. I also want to thank you personally for all the support and reassurance. I felt quite anxious when X first started nursery due to all her allergies etc, but her keyworker and all the staff have all been very understanding and supportive of this and have made her time at parkside a safe and inclusive experience.”

“The pre school has held some brilliant activities for the children and some have really imprinted on X: the butterflies and the ducklings hatching. She has a great interest in nature and now life cycles.”

“My daughter’s experience at Parkside Preschool has been absolutely faultless, this has included a wide range of activities from heartwarming events like the Mothering Sunday breakfast, we shared baking activities, arts and craft – pasta shell necklaces, and more importantly meeting the other parents, children  and staff, to the unforgettable “Zoo Lander” day, where she got to experience hands-on interactions with animals, her time at preschool has been filled with fun and learning. The excellent communication and updates provided through Tapestry have been a reassuring aspect for us as parents especially working parents. Regular updates, photos, and insights into her daily activities allowed us to be actively involved in her learning journey.”

“We give credit to all the teaching and support staff ,for helping our son to master key aspects of his personal care including toilet training and tooth brushing, and he has developed his communication skills to a great degree,  now confident to share his sense of humour and interests with others.

“The Tapestry app is fantastic and regularly updated with all the interesting and varied activities my son has been involved in from day-to-day .The staff have utilised the app to capture some great memories and we really appreciate all the notes and photos uploaded ,  I’m sure they will be valuable to reflect on and laugh at in the years to come.”

“We particularly love the fact that our son acts as if he is a mini yogi and makaton instructor, due to the great range of lessons he has received at pre-school, and it has been brilliant to have the makaton videos from Mandy available on Tapestry to refer to at home.”

“On occasions where I have arranged for other family members to collect my son from school they have been impressed and bowled over by the way the staff interact with our child. It is evident that they make great effort with all the  children in their care and it seems they make what must be a really challenging job , great fun. Whilst being highly professional and organised there is a genuine sense that the staff are  passionate and take pride in their roles, and that they have got to know and appreciate the unique personality traits of each child. The kindness and attentiveness shown to the children and parents doesn’t feel forced or out of obligation, and in my view this set the pre-school apart, and gained my full trust in the setting.”
